Reflections of a USAF Orthodox Chaplain – Part 1
February 02, 2011 Length: 17:55
In this episode of SGOMA’s Podcast series “Orthodox Christians on the Front Lines” Father Stephan Close reflects on his time as an active duty Orthodox Chaplain serving in the United States Air Force. Fr. Stephan reflects on the many military members that he came across during his most recent assignment at Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

One of the most moving things we saw while filming downrange and in Landstuhl was the ministry of chaplains like Chaplain Stephan in hospitals and greeting the wounded. (the filming was for an independent documentary we made called Chaplains Under Fire — one of the segments is devoted to the ministry Fr. Stephan describes).
